That may be true, but I don't like it. McClung isn't stretched out enough to give you a quality start. I'm hoping the plan is to give Dillard a shot. I'm sure the plan is to bring Parra and Cody up at some point this year, but I like the idea of giving guys like Burns and Dillard a shot first to see what they can do. With all those potential startes, I would hate to bring McClung out of the bullpen.
McClung, as a starter last year, was as good as 4 of our opening day starters this year. McClung is clearly a better pitcher right now than he was at this time last year. He deserves to start, and I'll predict he's pitched his last game in relief for us. Dillard has been mediocre at AAA. Burns, Cody, and Butler would be better choices to start than him.

Has there been any updates on Bush? I know they were talking 2-3 weeks which would have him starting mid-next week, but I guess I would assume we are more likely talking after the All Star break.

I heard after the broadcast last night (of course, this could've simply been speculation) that the plan was after the ASB.

It looks like a late July return for Bush. They have him scheduled to pitch in AA on July 15th. Link

Injured right-hander Dave Bush (triceps) told Macha he felt fine on Saturday, a day after ramping up his throwing program. Bush is slated for a Minor League rehab start for Double-A Huntsville on July 15. "He's on track, so let's hope we keep it that way," Macha said.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.
