I can't believe they are still trying to get this game started.. It's past 10pm in Detroit.

Are they taking the tarp off? Do you mean they are actively starting or they just aren't cancelling?

Cliff Lee would look very nice in a Brewers uniform. Throw in DeRosa too!
I think the missing puzzle piece is Victor Martinez.

Upgrading our C "situation" makes us AL-powerful. Probably'd have to bat Fielder 5th.

Don't forget about Shin Soo-Choo!

I still don't understand how any new ballpark can be built without a roof. Especially in the midwest, where inclement, or cold, weather is fairly common.

Ah, but then there are those pesky shadows http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif.

I agree and when inspired to investigate by a recent discussion here, I was surprised to discover there had not been a park with a roof built since MP (8 new parks built since then).

If we knew for sure that we could get in a 9 inning game I would be fine starting this sucker back up again. But the umps darn well know that they would be lucky to get 2 innings in again before the game gets called. This obviously gives the Brewers less time to make up the 3 run differential.

I agree. Umps should being starting a game with the intention of playing it to completion. Not restarting with the intention of getting 4 outs. That jeopardizes player safety, IMO. If you honestly don't believe a game could go the distance, you don't restart

I have no problem with re-starting. Were the score reversed, would those of you who object feel the same?

Sure it might be a shortened game, but that's the rules of baseball.

The Brewers should have let Narveson pitch one pitch, then bring in a reliever, then keep doing. I'm half joking. I know it would be bush league, but this situation is a bit ridiculous

User in-game thread post in 1st inning of 3rd game of the 2022 season: "This team stinks"

So we have three outs to tie the game or take the lead; either way the game will probably be washed away in the bottom half of the fifth. Basically, we have a .00001% chance of this game ending with a Brewers victory.

Speaking of something of this nature, did any of you guys read the article in SI on Charlie Manuel this week? It said that once when he was coaching in the minors, and his team was losing 7-0 before the game would be official, he paid off the grounds crew to leave when it starting raining, so the infield got flooded, and the game had to be re-played.
