Would like to see Gallardo get a extra day of rest

Yo has really struggled his last 2 outings, with high pitch counts. There also is presumably a plan in place to limit his innings throughout the season. Why not bring in the 5th starter a few days early to face Verlander in Detroit, give Gallardo an extra day to freshen up his arm, and let him face the Mets Monday with an extra day of rest. I just don't see a high probability of Gallardo winning on Sunday.

Yeah, it would be Suppan's turn after Gallardo, and Soup is going tonight (barring rain out or something). I think Gallardo just has to suck it up right now and go again, hoping for a better outing on Sunday.
