Proposed trade with Red Sox...

Since the Red Sox have now officially signed J.D. Drew...they now have Ramirez, Drew, Hinske, Crisp, and Wily Mo Pena on the team...and with Ortiz DHing most of the time...not much playing time for Pena/Hinske. They might still be looking at a closer at this time since they don't have a definite choice at the moment...so how about this?

 

Red Sox get: RHP Derrick Turnbow

OF Brady Clark

SP Ben Hendrickson

 

Brewers get: CF Coco Crisp

LHP Craig Breslow

Breslow has great AAA numbers and did very well in limited action for the major league club last year as a lefty out of the pen. Our outfield alignment could then be Hall, Crisp, and Hart/Jenkins. Trade Mench for prospects or something.

Heck, if we're going to trade with BOS, I'd say Hinske would be a target...only if Koskie officially cannot go, of course.

Hinske has great splits against RHP and would make an excellent platoon option at 3B.
