Just noticed we had this same pitching matchup last year.

De La Rosa went 3.2 innings, 9 hits, 7 earned runs, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.

Bush went 8 innings, 4 hits, 1 earned run, 1 walk and 13 strikeouts.

I certainly wouldn't mind a repeat performance of the matchup last year.

McGehee's leading off, Hall's hitting 8th. No real complaints about the lineup, although I wouldn't mind seeing Gamel getting a shot to start against a lefty.

2B Casey McGehee

SS JJ Hardy

LF Ryan Braun

1B Prince Fielder

CF Mike Cameron

RF Corey Hart

C Mike Rivera

3B Bill Hall

RHP Dave Bush

Please don't get owned by JDLR, Brewers. I am back from a week of vacation in which I was Brewersless (other than scores and game wraps, of course), so it would be nice to see a W!

That would be phenomenal.

But I will settle for any kind of win.

It still bothers me that those plays where an OF gets a glove on a fly ball and drops it are treated differently than ground balls are. What's the difference? If the player gets the glove and it should have been an out, then it's an error. Just like when an OF lets a ball get through him and it's a 3B instead of a single with a 2 base error, or the dive where the player really didn't need to dive and drops the ball... I was always an OF for the most part, played some 1B here and there because I was LH, but I've always thought infielders get the shaft error wise or outfielders have it way too easy.

Still early, but you have to think Bush is done after 5...he's been uncharacteristically inefficient tonight. You have to wonder if the line drive off the elbow has him rusty.

Plenty of time to get back on top, though.
