Looking for a place to fish near Appleton

I'm heading up to Appleton on June 21st to watch my son Erik Miller play ball with the Timber Rattlers and we would like to find a place to go fishing for a couple of days near there. Any ideas on a reasonable place that we can stay and get in some decent fishing or perhaps just some local hot spots that we can hit. I'm sure that fishing is great just about everywhere but some info would sure save us some time and effort weeding through everything. Thanks in advance for any information that you can provide.

Depends on what you want. Are you okay with a really big lake? If you are, then you could try Lake Winnebago. If you want a smaller lake you could try Lake Butte Des Morts or Little Lake Butte Des Morts or Lake Winneconne. All are fairly close to Appleton.
