Kyle Gibson has a stress fracture in his right forearm...

Recommended Posts

I would take him at #26 in a second. But not without an MRI.

His best course of action is to sign late (not that he will have any choice) and not pitch until Winter Ball. I see him having a similar draft year as Brian Matusz.

If there is no structural damage, and no surgery needed, he will be just fine with some rest.

Another thing is that if I were Kyle Gibson...I would consider just sitting out this year and heal in the independent leagues with a mind to re-enter the draft next year. Drafting him at #26 might just mean two #1s next year...I am not sure I want that.
