I dont know what was talked about in the last conversation but I am pretty sure this is a totally different situation.

I think the situation was pretty similar. It was probably even with Suppan starting. There is a one in 5 chance.

Assuming average speed and bunting ability, the thresholds for sac bunting are .206 OBP, .132 SLG. 2006-2008 splits for Suppan are .219/.175/.394 as a hitter. Given that he might be slower than average it might be a good idea for him to bunt if the defense was playing normal. The problem is that they and everybody in the stadium was expecting the sac bunt. I have no problem with a sac bunt if there is a chance for a hit. With the defense expecting the bunt, I would think the odds of a ball getting through the infield are much better than normal.

The only sac bunting by a pitcher that I like even the slightest bit is when Gallardo bunts. There I am torn between my desire to win my bet with FTJ and the best move to win the game. I wouuld prefer to lose my bet if it means the Brewers win.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Well Jody finally got on base...hopefully that gets something started for him. Too bad about him getting picked off but at least it's a start. Counsell's had a huge night, too...let's tack on an insurance run or two. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Yeah, it is really ridiculous...they are not gonna steal (or should not be), so just wait until the ball leaves the pitchers hand before extending the lead off. Is that really so difficult to do?

Atlanta hasn't scored a run in something like 19 straight innings now...remember when the Brewers were going through stretches like that just a couple years ago?

Let's tack on some more runs and lock down another win.

Looks like frustration boiling over for Cameron. The good news is that it doesn't look like he touched the ump so he should be fine in terms of a suspension, but Brian Anderson's right in that this could end up costing the Brewers defensively in the 9th.

So much for the ball avoiding him. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif At least he didn't hurt himself this time.

Two more to go, Trevor. Let's lock it down and earn my fantasy team tons of points.
