2009 National League Rookie of the Year

jjfanec

actually, I did see a fairly recent AJC article that mentioned his debut when the Brewers bombed him....and his ERA is something like 2.42 since then

....Hanson is the real deal although his mechanics scare the hell out of me....but he's managed to stay healthy to-date

The guys announcing the espn game with the marlins believe Coghlan should be the rookie of the year...the kicker...he has 2 home runs off of Cole Hamels AND he was leading off but hes not really a lead off hitter! He must be the rookie of the year!

They also said he has the most hits since the ASB, even more than "Jeter"! UNHEARD OF! So there ya go, toss Coghlan into the mix http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

J.A. Happ deserves ROY hands down. He's been amazing pretty much all year and especially when the Phillies needed him the most - he became a starter in late May when the Phillies were not dominating the NL east, and was a stud almost all year with an ERA under 3. I'd love to see McGehe get it but he's no 1992 Pat Listasch. Of all the rookies out there this year, I think Tommy Hanson is probably the best guy that will be an all star many years to come, but he started too late in 2009.
