well, we know why The (not so) Happy Youngster wanted to go to the series in Florida. Using advanced metrics, he realized that both Johnson and Uggla would hit key career homers, and figured the ransom could be high (he likely wanted Hanley Ramirez's first-born). Additionally, factoring in the low crowds, he could have landed 50-70 balls per game, thus padding his well-documented stats.

How can you let a pitcher crush one that hard off of you? What the heck is going on?

I guess you missed where that ball got blasted off of his right elbow.

He looked fine to me, before he threw a lollipop right up the middle to Johnson. I wouldn't blame the elbow for that one/

A pitcher has never hit a homer in the history of baseball!

I hope this was the final straw for the Hall still starting against RHP experiment. Macha is a pretty smart guy, he knows he can't continue to throw Hall out there at 3B against RHP. Gamel has to start playing everyday against them. If they wanna put Billy in late innings for defense that is fine.

Agreed. Hall is now 0-3 tonight with a K and two groundouts. And he has only one put-out, so the whole reasoning of him being in there because Bush is pitching didn't go as expected just like I thought. Bush got mostly fly balls as usual. It's time for Mat Gamel.

Nice to get Johnson out of the game...he's one hell of a pitcher. Let's jump on the bullpen in the last 4 outs and steal one. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
