2009-06-03 Brewers (Looper) at Marlins (West): 6:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 9-6]

but I'm sick of seeing him make outs on the first pitch.

He's made 23 outs now this season. Only three have been on the first pitch. And he has taken the most pitches per plate appearance (4.26) than any other member of the Brewers. Next closest is Fielder at 4.15. I know it's a small sample, but still.

If it comes down to working the count or attacking the hitter's pitch, I'd rather he attack his pitch regardless of what the count is.

Pretty much the same way I feel about Weeks and Svuem said it better than I did all off season... if a batter watches 600 fastballs right down the middle he's giving back 20 HRs. Being selective doesn't mean a batter should take pitches just to take pitches.
