What is the deal with Manny Parra?

Melvin strongly hinted this morning on WTMJ that it's put up or shut up time for Parra by saying his next start was "a very big one" and that if a change is necessary it will come internally.

 

It will be very interesting to see if Burns starts for Nashville on the same day that Parra is pitching.

Interesting to hear Melvin be so blunt about it, according to what you posted, Briggs.

 

I do hope Parra turns things around, but if not, it's good to know Melvin won't stand idle.

Melvin also stressed the desire for a 2nd lefty in the pen this morning. I don't know if that means anything's cooking or that the "internal solution" is McClung to the rotation and either Swindle or Chris Narveson to the Brewer bullpen. Narveson's been very sharp lately in middle/long relief.
