This will likely be a tough series. Cueto and Harang are both pitching very well and do not seem like good match-ups for our slumping offense. Seems foolish to hope that the hitting can snap out of it tonight or tomorrow night but stranger things have happened. I guess I'm hoping Cueto is a bit off and Looper can sneak in a quality start tonight, then Bush can stay strong and match Harang tomorrow, in the process somehow they sneak out at least one of those two and then take advantage of a Gallardo/Owings match-up on Sunday.

Doesn't look like Cueto has his good stuff going tonight, and can't seem to find the strike zone. Nice to get on the board early, but it would've been even nicer to get something across in the second inning, too. I'm digging the patience so far, though...if they keep it up, they'll have no problem tacking on extra runs.

My mistake, ESPN and Yahoo both had Coffey listed 6th and Hall listed 9th. Must have been an error somewhere, ESPN changed it.

Very nice win tonight, especially with the pitching matchup heavily favoring the Reds, but Looper pitched fantastic, only made one mistake. Bush/Harang should be a good matchup, and Gallardo/Owings favors the Crew, so getting this one was nice.

Edit: This may be the shortest IGT ever.
I just discovered that you can click on the "replies" column and sort by number of replies to determine if this is so. The shortest regular season one I saw had 15 replies...5/2/09 Looper vs. Haren (a game I happened to attend, actually).

If not for the 6-7 posts generated due to error on the line-up at Yahoo and ESPN we might have "beaten" that tonight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Why was Votto lifted from the game? I was at the game and didn't see why he left.
It's still the inner ear infection / dizziness. I'm still surprised the media haven't mentioned Ben Sheets' similar vestibular woes. That's got to be scary for Votto.

I hope I wasn't the only person who enjoyed this game. I have to admit that on paper, I wasn't liking the pitching matchup, and seeing Laynce Nyx in the lyneup made me wonder if he would be a Brewer kyller again. But I was reminded yet again why games aren't played on paper. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

It rained foul balls for a while. A kid directly in front of us got one off Corey's bat, and J.J. deposited two in bensheeps' club section (or else the next section over) in the same at-bat.

For those of you scoring at home and obsessing over the Brewers' AV production details, Trevor Time is now fixed. Robb Edwards lets the song play and then introduces Hoffman. Another new detail (I think) is that before Hells Bells was played tonight, the videoboard and ribbon boards were completely dark. I think that added to the effect nicely.

The hawing ticket is now on a 7-0 win streak. The Brewers can start paying us to attend more games anytime they want.

P.S. Attaboy, Corey!

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
