Macha, like Yost, has shown he is pretty much never going to pinch hit for anyone other than a pitcher. I don't know if that is particularly uncommon among NL managers. OTOH, unlike Yost, he is much more willing to make mid-inning pitching changes.

Does Todd Coffey always have the Ultimate Warrior's theme playing when he comes in to pitch??
I haven't noticed. I also never got to see the "Coffey Time" scoreboard feature timing his sprint to the mound.

If you are going to bring in a righty, bring him to face Pujols. Don't IBB Pujols and then take the pitcher out. Lame.

Why? I don't see the problem with the strategy of putting their best hitter on and going after someone else using a fresh arm.

Absolutely not. The last thing I would do is pitch to Pujols with men on 2nd and 3rd when 1st base is open and a rookie is batting behind him...

Boy, why do I get the strong sense this game will end with Brewers having only 2 runs?
Or, if they get more, it'll be because the St. Louis Classies will have added to their current total.

Well, let's hope for better.
