Action other than the Bfan team

Hammer

Revised thread.

We lost 9-8 on Monday in the bottom of the 7th but I was happy w/ my personal play. 4-5 with a HR, 3 singles and 5 rbi. Too bad I moved from the Mke area as I would have loved to contribute to the Bfan team...

I wouldn't call it a brag thread. More like......In other action around the world...or something to that effect.

My team had our first game last night. We lost 15-13. At the dish, 1 for 2 with a triple, walk, and sac fly, 2 rbi in 4 plate appearances.

Most proud of the defense last night at 2b. Turned two double plays and made a nice relay through from the RF to the C to nab a guy sliding in at the plate.

Former Brewerfan.net Madison is having a good season so far as well. We've locked up 1st place in the 1st half after going 4-0. We still have one more game tonight, but we're likely getting bumped up to the 2nd highest league, where we will get summarily stomped by teams that have the ability to hit the HR ball consistently.

14-10 win tonight in Omro. 2-4 with a HR and 4 RBI. Here is the funny part though...when I hit the homer in the bottom of the 6th the other team's 1st baseman yelled "oh yeah, 3 pop-ups and a HR. Real good game...". Not only did he have the stats wrong but where is the sportsmanship? Sheesh...

After a rough start for our tourny team to start the year...We played in Beloit against some stiff comp, and then again in Slinger, where we played a lot of good Milwaukee teams, including Henke trucking, weve won our last 3 tournies and are on a roll.

6-0 now. We got bumped up to the 2nd highest league, but we kept up pretty well tonight. Thankfully the defense carried the offense.

We have really not hit the ball well so far. To still be undefeated so far is lucky as hell.

Our team won 22-14 this week. We picked up a bunch of 18-19 y/o kids to fill some gaps and we became a very dynamic, fast, powerful team overnight. Now, we just need to work a couple of kinks out on defense and we are golden.

I was 2-4 on the evening w/ 5 rbi...not stellar, but ok.

I went semi-Milton Bradley last night after a HORRIBLE call at home and got tossed. I would have felt terrible if my team wouldn't have won the game...

We lost for the first time in 18 games last night. The team we played hasn't lost in over 4 years. The team is largely made up of current/former college baseball players (from Edgewood College) and Home Talent League people. Only lost 6-3, though.

We played in an AMAZINGLY fun game last night. Lost 19-17 but it really was a good game. I went 6-6 w/ 3 2b and 3 1b and scored 5 runs so my legs are shot. Fun night though...

We played in Waunafest over the weekend and finished 5th of 34. Not a bad showing for the first time over there. We were probably one of the top 3 or 4 teams over there but had a tough draw early and had to play alot of games Sunday.

Found the old thread http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif What a fun game this evening!! My team was down 18-2 after the 2nd inning and came back to win 20-18! I'm bouncing everything either to 3rd or right between 3rd/SS them this year so I have some work to do. Frustrating personally...but we won.

Played in an unlimited tourny in Fall River this weekend. Hit one out on the baseball field to dead center. That swing felt good.(Im only 5' 9'' 190 lbs) On top of that we won both the Coed and Mens. 10 and O on the weekend.

I play in a four team league that re-drafts every other year. My friends on Team Yellow knew I was moving up to Washington County and weren't sure if I was going to play on the souteast side of Milwaukee, so they didn't draft me. I ended up on Team Red. Red is 2-10, Yellow is undefeated. Yellow's pitcher is the guy who got me into the league. I play fall ball with the pitcher, the left side of their infield, and their entire outfield. They know I look to dump it to right center field despite me batting right handed. The pitcher tries to get me to reach for a pitch outside or pitches me in. The outfielders play me in. It's just tough for me to face them.

I decided to change things up. The pitcher knows I like to take pitches and draw walks. I look for a strike right away. The first pitch is on the inside corner. I jack my hips open and hit it right on the sweet spot. My friend in left field takes one look at it and simply turns around and runs. It landed 30 ft past him. At the end of the day I was a HR shy of a cycle plus a sac fly. They are no longer undefeated. It feels great.

That's awesome Robin! I had close to the same scenario and my team beat my old team in the comeback win that I posted earlier in this thread. Felt great I'm sure!
