Not a good decision. Yikes. Hate to cut down a guy on base infront of Braun and Fielder.

I think hit and runs are one of the dumbest hold-overs from the good ol' days, when teams regularly won 1-0 and players could barely get the ball out of the infield. Force a batter to swing at junk and force a base runner to attempt a steal, even if he can't get a good lead. BOOO!

Thurston was in McGahee's shorts pre-pitch... I think Macha was just rolling the dice that Carpenter was going to throw a decent pitch to bunt... and we could catch the Cardinals in a weird defensive set-up... it definitely back-fired.

I am 70/0 against that steal attempt(hit and run, whatever you want to call it). I think Macha is a little to in love with small ball. However, late in the game in a scoreless game, it makes a little sense at least. Just a very little.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.
