How long has it been since Frank played 2nd base? Is that even possible for him anymore?

He played 139.1 innings at 2B in 2002, when he was 28. I think it's possible for him to play there, but I think he would be something like the 4th option there behind Counsell, Casey and Hall.

 

Should be a decent option for a PH and some spot start depth, although I don't see the need for many starts with Gerut as the 4th OF.

Great moves by Melvin. We gain 2 veteran bats in exchange for 2 young players that need more experience in AAA.

Not a bad move, but I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank. Hopefully he does well.

I like our bench a whole lot more than I did at the start of the season. I think he's still got some hits in the tank. Might even be a .300 hitter yet, and with a bit of gap ability.
