I wish Trevor was my dad.
First let me say Jcrew that quote is signature worthy. I might have to use it.

Even when Hoffman got in trouble I still felt good like he would work out of it. Never really felt that last year with Gagne or Torres.

That play Kendall made was sick! Not too many catchers can make that play, what Kendall doesn't have in his bat he more then makes up for in his defense. Love it.

This is what we needed. We put up a great streak sweeping the marlins and then sweeping the first 3 on the road. It would have been real easy to let this game slip but we pulled it out and are now 5-1 on the trip as opposed to 3-2. I don't want to be pessimistic but losing 2 in minnesota wouldn't be nearly as bad, now. Let's go for another sweep, though.

Do you think Hart, Weeks and Prince just do that as some elaborate hipster joke on the media? I bet they sit around the clubhouse and speak in iambic pentameter.

Some athletes have the mental capacity to pull that off. However, for the most part, athletes are good at being athletic.

Looking at the replay, Berkman was out. They have one angle in which you can clearly see that his hand comes down in front of the plate, hits Kendall's shin guard, and goes around the plate. Great call by the ump, but from where he was, he almost certainly lucked into it, as I think Kendall's body was between him and Berkman.

Good win, fighting out some hits against a tough pitcher in Oswalt, and getting into that squishy bullpen.

Gotta believe that this was Bill Hall's last chance to prove he can hit righties. Mat Gamel, get ready.

Any chance this means more than just a platoon?
I would think it will be just that - a platoon. And I think its a good thing. Hall has been solid all year defensively and we all know he typically rakes against lefties, although he is just plain lost right now. And that means Gamel will get the majority of the playing time because we really don't face that many LHP

Whatever Bill's shortcomings, he's not a jerk.

That's why he complains to the ref everytime he's caught looking for a strike out.

I don't think that makes him a jerk. A lot of guys in MLB do that. And it's the ump not the ref. (sorry that is nitpicking)

So I apparently somehow missed the "purple top" chick...I've seen it on 3 different website with people talking about her. What is wrong with me??

Anyone have the ability to get a picture up here?

I was wondering about that too sargennm. They were talking about "spotlighting" while Hart was giving his air high fives on 2nd base, so maybe that's what spotlighting is. And I'm assuming Tejada does something similar to that, because the announcers were saying something about the Brewers probably not liking what "miggy" was doing with the whole spotlighting thing.
