Steak fueled winning streak

Loopee

So last Tuesday in celebration of the Brewers turnaround, my wife and I grilled steak before the game. The Brewers won. The next night I felt like steak, so we had it again and the Brewers won again. Thursday I ordered a steak sandwich at lunch and the Brewers won. Long story short, I've decided not to mess with what's working and have consumed steak of some sort every day since last Tuesday in order to keep the streak alive. I'm planning on continuing until the Brewers either lose or I have a heart attack from high cholesterol.

Maybe its because I used to play but I'm superstitious. Anyone else ever do something ridiculous in order to not mess with a winning streak?

I'm rather superstitious when it comes to baseball, both when I played and as a Brewers fan.

I'm currently working a pathetic Dave Bush-esque beard that will have to come off when my vacation is over, but I haven't shaved since the last loss. Also, I'll be on the grill again for the 8th straight night tonight--haven't done steak every day, but quite a few. Tonight it's burgers.

I'm not alone!

We are willing to make the sacrifice if you are... I'm hoping you'd get in the BF HOF for that effort. I'd chip in for a headstone.

I can't imagine too many better ways to go out though....

I definitely plan out what jersey I wear to games based on who's pitching. so far I haven't found anything that goes well with Suppan though, haha.

This doesn't apply precisely to the current win streak, but the S.O. has worn the same t-shirt to Miller Park the last five games, and the Brewers are 5-0 in that stretch.

So, look for the Power 50 T-shirt guy in the Dew Deck on Monday.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

When they started the turn around, I stubbed my toe. Wow, one of those "oh man I will never walk again" stubs.

So, the Brewers started the streak.

I, however, refuse to repeat the toe incident.

Apologies to the fans.

On a somewhat related note although not necessarily to do with the current winning streak - the Brewers are 7-0 when I wear my McClung like a horse T-shirt so far this year

Well, I guess the new rule is to not talk about what you're doing during a winning streak. Kind of like not talking to a pitcher who's throwing a no-hitter.

A real fan would be willing to "take one for the team." I'm just sayin'...
