Todd Coffey endorsement deal

RyDogg66

I wonder what size cups he has. I have never seen a professional baseball player who needs more support up top than Coffey.

Stop making fun of The Barista.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Is that what we're calling him? Because that's a nickname I could support.
I heard the Astro announcers mention something about a barista tonight and it sounded good to me.

Here's hoping the nickname "The Barista" is forgotten fast.
"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."

Bro sounds a lot better than "Manssiere".

Prince Fielder, perhaps?
Fielder is definitely fatter than Coffey, but some of us wear it better than others. Prince is huge, no doubt about it, but he is huge all over, Coffey looks like a regular guy from the shoulders up and the waist down, but in between, yikes.

I'm sorry, but there is absolutely no way Prince is fatter than Coffey. Prince is a very large man, but even if he lost more weight than he already did in the offseason he would still look big because he just has a huge frame and thick bones. You can see in photos of Prince where he is finishing his swing that there really isn't a whole lot of flab there this year. Coffey on the other hand has lots a flabby stuff going on. Prince really is an amazing athlete - he just doesn't look it because he is so wide and being not all that tall makes him look even wide. I would venture to guess if they did a body fat test on the two of them it wouldn't even be that close. Coffey's would be much higher IMO

I think Coffey is a fan favorite for a bunch of reasons, one of them being he looks like a bunch of us do. Plus you gotta love the sprint in from the bullpen and the pitching ain't too shabby either.

He's an endorsement waiting to happen.

Is it me...or does Prince not look as 'skinny' as he did in spring training?
I would agree that it appears he has gained back at least a little of the weight he lost. He sure seems to be moving around well though. His footwork has been very good around the bag and dude can run the bases pretty darn well - a lot better than JJ thats for sure

I completely agree. I think reported in much better shape than he finished last year, but that was 12 weeks ago, I think he is about back to how he looked last year.

This post makes me laugh because when the season first started my supervisor (a Cubs fan) said to me about a Brewers game she watched: "There was a guy pitching who had man-boobs and he was adjusting them during the inning, who was that?" That guy was Coffey. lol

Andre Smith definitely gives Coffey a run for his money, but I really can't think of any other baseball pitcher even close, not even Ray King or Dennys Reyes.

"When a piano falls on Yadier Molina get back to me, four letter." - Me, upon reading a ESPN update referencing the 'injury-plagued Cardinals'
