what the heck are these guys looking at?

hampton is serving up junk right down the middle and they are just staring at it...

I've said it before, but Cameron looks at more third strikes than anyone I've ever seen. Hey, I still love him, though.

BA mentions that the Brewers and Dodgers have the best team ERA in the NL, but they also lead the league in HBP. I wonder if that's more a case of them pitching inside, or the teams they're facing more willing to get a runner on base. Maybe no correlation at all.

Well, even pitchers can hit it out in Houston if you leave that pitch there.

I've had a bad feeling about this game from the start, but hopefully they can pull it out. Seven in a row just seems so unlikely, I guess.

Not to pick on Macha, who has been great, but this is the second game in a row I felt we could have pinch hit for the pitcher in I believe the sixth because we had a chance to get possible necessary runs. Both games, the pitcher hit and got out and then allowed the first two runners on base. Looks like we might get out of the inning unscathed in consecutive games.

Bush really hung some pitches in that inning and got lucky. Hopefully we can tack more runs on as this game is far from over.

I'm not digging McGehee getting the call. I feel of all the options we had, that is the worst one.

I'm gonna disagree and I hope he plays almost every game vs lefties at 2B. Good defense, adequate hitting is better than any other option we have vs LH.

I love that Macha made the move to CV. Bush left that last pitch up to Erstad and got away with it. He had a Claudio Vargas-esque night getting out of some jams. The matchups favored CV too. That's one instance where Yost would have left him out there to blow up in the 7th. Hats off to Macha IMO.
