any new capellan to wash rumor ?

I'm curious. on capellan's profile, yahoo reported Washington is interested, and one of my fantasy opponents picked him up today. a lot of my fantasy opponents have inside info. is he jumping the gun? or is there a scoop? or some truth to what he knows?

im just kinda curious what the nationals would give for Capellan. If i were the brewers i would try to aquire Chad Cordero if possible. Mix in Zach Jackson and Mench or something, but if we could get Cordero to pitch the 7th, Turnbow the 8th, and CoCo in the 9th that would be really cool. I also wouldn't mind seeing a deal for Snelling either, however i doubt they would give him up.

IMO the likely place for him to go is to TB for Cantu. I mean look at it, the brewers put Capellan down in the Minors and they put Cantu down for the same reasons so i see a match. I feel like if we could use Cantu and Counsell as a platoon we would get way more production than Graffinino.

I agree with you team canada. feel free to lock or redirect the thread.

it just seemed very odd to me that a fantasy player in a league that doesn't have holds as a category or a farm system would just out of the blue go out and pick up Capellan for his team. Since Capellan is not on the brewers' dl, he is wasting a roster space by doing so. This did not seem to be an ordinary or a smart move. it seemed more like a move made with insider information.

it's one thing to go out and pick up a Clemens or a prior or pedro and stash them on your team. but why would anybody go out and pick up Capellan? the owner is a smart owner and not in last place.

that's the reason I asked and started a new thread.

Are Hart and Capellan a fair value for Chad Cordero? I think Hart could become a star in Washington, Capellan could Close for Washington.

It would be rare for Melvin to give up more than he gets back, but to have a 7,8,9 like that would make us the best Pen in the league.

to make this long story short, I posted a question in my league. it read "Why Capellan? Why him ? why now? just curious."

we shall see what his reply is.

it's been over 4 days since I posted the question on our league board and the guy has not responded. he's just keeping capaleean as an NA relief pitcher. Like i said earlier, in a league that doesn't use holds as a category, having Capellan makes little sense. but picking him up and keeping him while he's down at AAA makes less sense.

Not even fair to close in value. Cordero is a proven closer. Nats are not going to take on Hart and Capellan. Both prospects have yet to prove anything above AAA.

Neither has Braun.
