Ueck: " And now Molina is out to talk to Wellmeyer. He's telling him he ought to pull his shirt out of his pants right now."

After a few minutes on how silly all the Cardinal whining about it is. Cory didn't realize it started last year.

I was listening to the radio and laughed so hard when Uecker said that. Basically his take on the whole thing is it doesn't matter what a team does when they win because the game is already over and the losing team already lost.

Manny Parra frustrates me more then any Brewers pitcher, maybe ever.

I don't know if I'd say ever, but I agree to the extent that he's frustrating. However, thankfully he was able to overcome adversity that inning.

Also, what has happened to the guy at the plate this season. He was hitting .071/.142, prior to the first inning strikeout. His career hitting stats before this season were around .225/.625. That was a big reason he had a long winning streak with a barely above average ERA during that period last season.

Crap Rickie gets hurt, and then we bring in Hall, who is 0-8 against Wellemeyer and sucks against righties, instead of Gamel. That was the perfect opportunity right there Macha.
I don't mind not starting Gamel. A big series against a team you were tied for first with before yesterday's game might not be the ideal time to start a rookie who is a butcher at third base (although he sounds like he's improving).

Definitely looking forward to watching him get a shot at some point, though.

Not even close for me, in fact almost every pitcher we had between 1990 and 2000 frustrated me more than Parra. Suppan and Looper both frustrate me more so far this season as well. Most of our bullpen frustrated me more last year than Parra this year. I guess I don't get the Parra hate. He has a tough AB against Pujols and then gets pinched against Molina and then gets the next guy out, what is so frustrating about that.

My favorite post from STLtoday so far:

This next week against the Cubs, Kansas City, and Brewers again is going to be long and painful. COuld be looking at last place soon.

I think the point was is that the Brewers have a 4-run lead and we have to replace someone. Put in Gamel and see what happens while they have a 4 run cushion. I think if it was later in the game, Macha would have gone with Gamel. Still too early and the Cards have too much time to catch up.
