Playoff Tickets (latest: 2008 renewal + '07 postseason refund information sent to season ticket holders)

statman0007

i agree crazy. I think anytime before the end of august is too early to talk playoffs.

We don't need these types of posts in a thread that's purely looking for information on how the process works. No one's putting a cart before the horse, it's just a simple request.

What "type" of post? I'm simply adding that it is still the Brewers and my Milwaukee inferiority complex would like to not get too excited, yet.

I guess it's better to not give any thought about how one might get payoff tickets IF the Brewers make it and then whine when you can't get any. Even if the Brewers had only a 1 in 3 shot of making the playoffs (odds are actually much higher right now), it was a no brainer to me to split a 20 gamer with a friend to make sure we got tickets.

And as for the sticker shock of the actual playoff tickets, one could simply sell a couple of them and defray a significant portion of the investment.

This came in my e-mail a couple days ago. There's still plenty of time to reserve a spot for playoff tickets.
Choose from the remaining games in the schedule and you'll be guaranteed the opportunity to purchase all Postseason games at Miller Park.

We have 28 home games left, FYI. So if you're jumping on now, that's a lot of games. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

As for cost, I don't much care what it costs if we make the playoffs, the energy of the stadium will be something to not be missed. A good friend of mine was at the Yankee/Red Sox game a couple years back where Aaron Boone hit that game winning home run, and he still raves about that game.

And just to back up an earlier post, my understanding is that 20 game packs get an opportunity to buy tickets for every home post season game, WS or otherwise.

I though in the old thread it said that 20 game packages get a chance to buy tickets to every game, ws or otherwise.

From the article at the top of the page, face value for the NLDS seems like it would be from 30 - 65 and for the NLCS 60 - 110 and for the WS it would be 80 - 250.

I'll tell you what, though. The way things are going, I'm glad I haven't sent in my post-season invoice yet. And I will probably wait to fax it to them on September 7th (or whatever the due date is). IF I decide it's worth the hassle.

Ok, again, why would you not just buy them. You don't have to "lend" the brewers money for a month. Wait for your current credit card cycle to end and charge the tix. When your credit card bill comes at the end of the cycle, you will still have until sometime in October to pay (I would hope the credit would come through by then).

Of course, I guess this may not work if you don't pay all or most of your credit card balance on a monthly basis.

As bleak as things look, I would never chance the opportunity of missing out on playoff tix. If they don't go, you get a refund.

I agree. You've still gotta do it. Even though I was being sarcastic earlierm about buying tickets for the rest of the home games, you still need to order playoff tickets now if you've got the chance, otherwise you'll be kicking yourselves later should the Brewers actually go.

For those who don't have season tickets this year and want potential playoff tickets, the 2008 season ticket deposit page is up: http://brewers.mlb.com/mil/ticketing/postseason.jsp

Make a deposit for a 2008 9-Game Pack = Get opportunity to buy tickets for the first NLDS game at MP

Make a deposit for a 2008 20-Game Pack = Get opportunity to buy tickets for ALL NLDS and NLCS games at MP

Make a deposit for a 2008 40-Game Pack = Get opportunity to buy tickets for ALL NLDS, NLCS and WS games at MP

Make a deposit for a 2008 Full Season Pack = Get opportunity to buy tickets for ALL NLDS, NLCS and WS games at MP

I was planning on doing a 20-game pack next year anyway, so this works out well for me getting to buy all possible NLDS and NLCS games. And if we make the WS, I'll worry about getting tickets at that point http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
