McClung?

what happened to that DiFelice guy

he was pretty good

Maybe didn't want to use DiF there for one out in case the pitchers spot manages to come up here in the 6th. Most likely wants to have him for 2 innings if need be

Seriously, I know I am ragging on Hardy a lot today, but how does he still manage to be out with everything that happened on that play. It was apparent that Hoff was going to jump way up so you might want to think about sliding there JJ

i don't feel like sliding into 1st is ever a good idea.
It usually is when the first baseman has to come off the bag to go up and get a throw because then he has to go from there all the way down to the ground to try and tag the runner

I don't want to make it seem like I am hating on JJ - I like him. I'm just not a huge fan of his style of play. He seems a little soft out there and more of a finesse player if there is such a thing in MLB. And he is sloooooww

Fontenot is going to find his way onto Top Plays this evening. Our offense needs to wake up from the doldrums, it is getting late.

Well Marmol will only get one inning today with him coming up 2nd next inning. So even if he does find it today we will get Gregg and I like our chances off him. Lets get at least one here though.

Horrible at bat by Prince there. He looked like he was facing a lefty specialist. All he needed was a ground ball to the right side.

Lets go here Hardy. Nothing on the ground. I fear a double play ball here.

Please don't hit into a double play, JJ. Please. I know you kind of have cement feet, but yeah. It would be appreciated.

Well, this could go two ways. If Kendall makes an out, at least we get Counsell, Weeks, and Hart in the 9th. If Kendall gets a hit, we tie the game.

Well it will probably be Counsell, Weeks, Hart and then Braun. Get through this inning with no runs then we just need to get one on and Braun will have a chance to tie the game.

Who do we have to pinch hit that is swinging a better bat than Kendall? Counsell? But lately Kendall has been a lot better than early in the year

While this has been an extremely frustrating game, moments like that 8th inning show why baseball is an awesome sport. You don't get that much tension and drama in most sports.
