Trade Deadline Package...

Quote:
I could see trading capellan and or graffy or one of our other minor league prospects for a leftie reliever specialist. I'm not sure what other areas would need an upgrade.

I think we could use a 3rd basemen if either they decide not to bring up Braun or he falters once brought up. As said before I would like to see another veteran reliever. Baring an injury, I dont see anything else as of now.

Braun, Turnbow, and Gross

for

Taylor Tankersley and Miggy Cabrera....

Anyone????

I love Cabrera as much as anyone, but you don't trade Braun who could be as good as Miggy plus Tunrbow who you need as a closer next year if you lose CoCo and a possible starting OF or at least 4th OF like Gross. I couldn't do it, even though I think Cabrera might be the best player in the bigs.

Cabrera is one of the best players in the majors. If Braun ends up that good, I'd be thrilled. Don't get too exctied about him though, I'd say its rather unlikely.

I'd be 6.5 years of Braun for 2.5 years of Cabrera. Short term its a very good deal, but long term I'm iffy about it. Swap Gwynn for Gross maybe...

Cabrera? In a heartbeat! We'd have a powerhouse line up that's absolutely proven. Sure Braun might be good, but we've got no proof. Turnbow could go in the tank again. Gross? Heck, don't even know what to say about that. They'd never do that.

I'd definitely do that to get Cabrera. dude's a bona fide superstar, and Braun at his max potential would be what Miggy already is. to add a sure-thing superstar to a lineup of young guys just coming into their own would make our order a powerhouse.

Gross is somewhat expendable. He's a 4th outfielder with some promise. A good farm system will develop one of those every couple of years. Turnbow would be rough, but it's got to hurt somewhere.

Though the way T-Bow is throwing now, he's crucial to a successful September run, so it seems like that wouldn't be a good in-season trade, but a good offseason one (granted, Cabrera will be on some other team by then).

If the Brewers make a major trade it will be with an AL team that needs a OF bat and the guy they will trade will be Mench.

If they move Mench it will only be for a LH arm for the pen...

The names I have heard is the Yankees, Red Sox and Angels.

Going to take Braun and Yo for the Marlins to part with Miggy. Right now they are not going to take a Mench or T-Bow for one of the top players in the game.

Our lineup would MASH with Cabrera in it:

2B Rickie Weeks

SS JJ Hardy

3B Miguel Cabrera

1B Prince Fielder

CF Bill Hall

C Johnny Estrada

LF Geoff Jenkins

RF Corey Hart

I don't know if it'd be worth it, but that is one pretty lineup.
