Selig speaking at UW-Madison commencement (5/16-17)

The S.O. and I each have employees graduating this time, so we might go check it out. Is anyone here graduating from UW-Madison this May?

Just thought I'd add that I saw Bud speak a couple years back when he came to campus & spoke at the Hillell house. He was surprisingly engaging. I was expecting it to be as lame as it could be, but honestly Selig really was an interesting speaker. His passion for baseball is just undeniable, however anyone feels about him as commissioner.

 

I'll be interested to hear how he does delivering a speech that won't be exclusively about MLB, however. Might get more of the dried-up Bud Selig with that in mind.

Is it wrong that I don't even remember who gave my commencement speech?

 

I do, however, remember that Al Toon received his diploma that day....probably 15 years after he left for the NFL.
