Metavante club

How difficult is it to get a seat on the patio there? The website says: "Patio tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis" and that they open 1.5 hours before the game.

If you get in there, how long can you stay?

Do you have to keep buying stuff to keep a table?

What are the food and drink prices like?

I'm looking at possibly buying some terrace tickets for the Saturday game with the Cubs that come with Metavante passes. I'm not a big fan of the terrace level, but I thought maybe it'd be a chance to try out metavante.

Your post is very difficult to read.

I haven't been up in there in a couple of years but in the past season tickets came with club pass for each game as well which is how we got in. We didn't make reservations or anything just walked up.

I always preferred the patio, we'd get there early and get a table closest to the field, there was no time limit like there is in Friday's. Everything is expensive up there though, we typically would only stay through the 3rd inning then move down to the regular seats.

I've never had a problem getting a seat in or outside if I came early (45 min, maybe). We usually just come at game time and eat lunch inside. Often, a seat will then open up outside later in the game. For sold out games like this weekend, you can still get a table easy inside but the patio will be packed. It never cleared up on Sunday.

I think the prices are pretty reasonable up there. Is the beer even bumped up from the normal prices? I love the food inside (never tried the buffet but they have a regular menu as well). I don't think anything is over $13. The food on the patio is different though (more simple).

A couple years ago, there was some complaining about supposedly having to spend $20 an hour to keep your seat on the patio. You could buy a beer an hour and you'd be fine, however. They just don't want somone parking there for 4 hours with a bag of peanuts.

We were there 45 minutes before yesterday's game and had to sit inside because it was so full, but yesterday was a huge crowd. So if you're going to a lower profile game, then 45 minutes should be plenty to get a seat. If you want front row though, get there 1.5 hours early.

I thought they raised it up to $25 an hour in sales, I don't think they necessarily enforce it. But on a marquee night, they are probably going to punt you if you drink a diet coke. Beer (16oz) is only about $5.50 so by far the best beer deal in the stadium.

BTW, I saw two fans get into it (almost a fist fight) last time I was up there for BP for a Cubs/Crew game.

My buddy was a bartender & manager there for the last few years so generally we'd go up there every game around the 6th inning or so. I don't think we've ever had a problem finding a seat on the patio outside. I'm not sure if you have to keep ordering to stay there, because we were always ordering some beer. Plus, we never really went on huge marquee games. The beer & drink prices really aren't bad... but the food prices are killer.
