Road Trip Expectations

I'm guessing that many are expecting a better road trip than the numbers suggest. Average expected record is 4.4 - 3.6:

Yep, 8 games in 7 days.

 

3-5 is what I expect. 4-4 or better would be great.

 

We should do well, but it's the road, so we probably won't.

We had better do better than 3-5. We can't continue to play this badly on the road, especially against teams like the Reds and Cardinals. I expect 4-4. I don't think that's a lot to ask against 2 mediocre NL Central teams.

 

5-3 or better would be great.

I would like 5-3, but the way things have been on the road, 4-4 will be okay, as I think the Cubs go 3-3 on their trip.

I agree, we have to be looking for at least 5-3 here, considering who we're playing. However the double header will be interesting, to see how they react to that and how the pitching can hold up. We need some strong starts this road trip or the bullpen might just completely fall apart.

Until this team actually puts together a decent road trip, I'm not expecting anything great. They've lost recent road series to such powerhouses as the Pirates and Nationals. They should have done well that road trip too.

 

I will say this, if there's one place where I think the offense can really get going, it's Cincy.

It would undoubtedly be a great time to go on a hot streak. Not likely, but it would be fun.

Less than .5%. There's a chance a team could go 162-0, after all.

I wanted the team to go 10-8 at the very worst coming out of the all-star break so after going 6-4 at home, I am expecting a 4-4 road trip while maintaining a 3 1/2 game game (cubs going 3-3 this week)

I'm going to go with my gut instead of the statistics this time and say 3-5, possibly 2-6 (god I hope not).
