Torii Hunter

So just looking at the Twins I do not think they will be legitimate contenders. (especially in that division) Why not take a look at trading for Torii Hunter? I would think they would be interested in players like Gabe Gross, Capellan, and some other prospects. I am not sure how much it would take but he is going to be a free agent. I would not mind him with his excellent defense in there as a rent-a-player.

I wouldn't see Hunter as much of an upgrade over what we already have. Unless we are sending Mench their way...

Hunter had one great half-season ages ago and he's still getting paid for it. His career numbers look pretty much like a Hart projection or maybe even a Gross platoon half...or less than that. His D has really suffered as well...and he's now in his 30's.

 

I think he's a $4-5M player making $12M.

If you think you can get an 826 OPS CFer for $5 million, you haven't been paying attention to either the market of what Torii Hunter did last year. He's a $12 million player right now, going forward is another issue. And that doesn't mean he has a real role on the Brewers.

Show me one place where Hall is mentioned in this thread? Who said we would bench him or get rid of him? I mean could folks learn to read.
