Cardinals: Deadline trading partners?

Someone on another board I post on, noted that the Cardinals have three relievers right now with sub-2.00 ERAs. If the Cards are clearly out of it by July, and the Brewers are still at the top of the division, do you think the Cardinals could be a trading partner, despite playing in the same division? If so, what would be some likely trade ideas?

the cardinals traded todd Zeile to the Cubs.

the brewers traded Jamey wright to the Cardinals.

interdivison trades happen a lot more often than people realize.

the reason there are so few interdivison trades is that very few deadline trades are made to begin with, and when you are talking about inter division, that means there are only 3-4 trading partners, and it is often hard to match up holes and strengths.

They were talking about the Cardinals' plight on the radio today. their farm system is bleak. the y need outfielders and they need starting pitching - bad.

they do have a couple of very nice relievers. I think we could see a starter from the brewers for a reliever from the Cards work out very nicely for both teams.

jackson for franklin?
