For what it is worth, both of those astros fansite links go to the same page, one to the forum, one to the main blog.

I have a lot of faith in Parra long term but in the short term he really needs to throw strikes tomorrow. The bullpen is pretty beat down and an exit in the 4th inning tomorrow is going to be painful unless the Astros have the same.

I am sure Parra will throw strikes for most of the game. He will probably have one inning somewhere in the middle where he gets the ball up and is all over the place.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

From JSOnline Blog:

2B Rickie Weeks

SS Craig Counsell

LF Ryan Braun

1B Prince Fielder

CF Mike Cameron

RF Brad Nelson

3B Bill Hall

C Jason Kendall

LHP Manny Parra

Well... seems as the "JV lineup" surprised us several Sundays last year (too bad a day following a late night extra inning game didn't result in an extra Rivera appearance)

I'm a little nervous because the Stros have hit lefties well. Not sure where Macha goes if he needs to look elsewhere in the 4th inning. If Julio is still on the team during this game, maybe you give him one more long look and chance at redemption. Any word on when Hoffman will be activated?

I like this today. JJ could use a day off. He's scuffling. I think he got frustrated after hitting the ball hard right at people early. Remember last year when he took a couple days off to work on the shoulder last year...he came back on a tear. Nelson needs some ABs. He was so antsy to get that first hit the other night he looked horrible. A good 4 AB day is what he needs.

Concentrate Manny...concentrate...you can do this.

I swear I read Macha's mind last night. When Nelson came up to pinch hit and promptly swung at every pitch thrown in his general vicinity, FSN cut to a shot of Macha writing a note on the paper he had in front of him. My immediate thought was that Macha was writing something along the lines of..."gotta get this kid a start, knock some of the rust off, get him to relax and feel like he doesn't have to hit one 600 feet because he only gets one AB a week"

And sure enough he's out there today. I like it. Good luck Brad.

With a win and a Cardinals win, the Brewers will pass the Cubs in the division standings. It might be early, but let's keep climbing the standings. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

The bullpen is not in that bad of shape even if Parra has a short start. McClung only threw 3 pitches yesterday, DiFelice could likely give an inning, Stetter could be brought in for an inning and Hoffman can give you an inning.

The Astros announcers (how is it I've been stuck with their feed all three games this series?) sounded like they're licking their chops at the idea of getting off the schneid by facing Manny, who's had his problems there (and this year so far, obviously).
