I remember watching Detroits crew on MLBtv when Verlander blanked us. They never mentioned it, though their cameras were on him in the dugout and they panned the 0's on the scoreboard on occasion. I thought that was an appropriate way to let people know what was going on without coming out and saying it.

I totally agree. It's not like anyone truly believes it effects the outcome, but it's part of the tradition of the game that makes moments like this special and fun.

OMG... this is just awkward now. BA needs to take a hint at this point and play along. Its embarrassing for him and Bill.
For people who think the superstition might be the dumbest thing ever, Anderson is actually extremely amusing.

Hawk Harrelson of the White Sox didn't mention anything until the last out during a similar situation with Mark Buehrle. It can be done.

Even Telly, who barely knows how to talk, is handling this better than BA.

HAHAHAHA! Thanks for the laugh! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

6-0 games shouldn't be this stressful!

I am convinced BA is doing this on purpose, just to prove something against superstitions after he says it at the Top of 8.
If anyone is curious to BAs motives, he answers the question in his blog here. I'm just think he hates the Brewers http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
