Diehard Sounds fans can actually watch the series in Memphis via MiLB.TV. The cost is $6.95 monthly, $29.95 for the season for live and archived video feeds. The Sounds will likely be on MiLB.TV approx. 15-20 times this season, I'd imagine. It does not appear single game purchases are still available any longer, and blackouts (Memphis area in this case) do apply.

Green, Bramhall, Rogers, Scarpetta, and Nieves... if nothing else it should be a fun day to follow pitching lines.

According to the Rattler Radio blog Watten is going to follow Scarpetta today and then Nieves is going to start one of the double header games tomorrow

Thanks for the update, all you folks should bookmark Chris Mehring's Rattler Radio Blog and make it part of your pre-game routine, as we won't always be available to post individual links to Chris' updates on game day, although we'll try.

Nope, but I'm behind a firewall at work which suddenly just got much tighter, the board isn't loading the graphics anymore, I'm unable to respond to Yuku messages, and I'm unable to stream any radio stations as of 30 minutes ago.

Sometimes I really dislike the dudes at corporate. edit. At least gameday still works.

It's a shame it's not archived, but Reid Nichols with some high praise for the Brevard kids during the Wisconsin pre-game interview today, including noting that third baseman Zelous Wheeler is one of the better defenders in the system as well.

Wheeler could put himself on the map this season... it would be pretty neat to have a legit 3B prospect (I know Trejo doesn't count yet but just wait!) at every level from AAA to A. With Wilson moving over to 1B but capable of 3B it would make a move for more SP viable again pending what happens this season with Jeffress, Braddock, and Rogers. Cody just keeps on doing his thing but because his name didn't come up much in the pregame audio segments last season I have to believe the organization is thinking he's a reliever.

I still believe Cody was more deserving of the Pitcher of the Year award than Jeffress, that decision was made for reasons other than on the field performance. I haven't gone Clancy I swear, but the young man keeps getting results.

edit. All of our affiliates should blog and let us know who the pregame interview segment is going to be with so we can listen in, or at least a schedule on the website... something so we can at least make educated decisions when the games have similar start times. The lack of audio archiving is a definite huge negative in an otherwise very positive trend that was going on with MiLB given the recent advancements in multimedia, content, and stats.

As I type this 6 WI hiters are hitting .200 or worse and the best BA on the team is .250. Scarpetta pitched very well... bunt base hit, sacrfice, and a base hit for the only run. 2 BBs and 10Ks is just freaking awesome, I have no issues with a manufactured run. How did BA have him rated so low in the system?

Huntsville Site Game Summary:

Carolina Comes Back to Stun Stars

Mudcats Rally in Last At-Bat to Down Huntsville

Juan Francisco scored from third base on a wild pitch with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, as Carolina came back to stun Huntsville 7-6 Wednesday afternoon in the middle of a five-game set at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, NC. The Mudcats have taken two of three to improve to 6-7, while the Stars suffered their first walk-off loss to dip to 6-7.

Chris Heisey led off the fateful ninth with a triple against Robert Hinton, who recorded the last out in the eighth, and scored on a Zach Cozart single that trimmed the visitors lead to 6-5. Juan Francisco followed with a single to move Cozart to second base before Todd Frazier popped out. Cozart then stole third and scored to tie the game on a Logan Parker double that pushed Francisco to third. Michael Griffin fouled out for the second out before Hinton bounced his first pitch to Shaun Cumberland past the catcher J.R. Hopf, who played the carom and threw to Hinton covering at the plate just late, as Francisco slid across with the winning run. Ramon Geronimo earned his first win for Carolina with a scoreless ninth inning.

Adam Stern opened the game by reaching on a Francisco fielding error, stole second base and scored on a one-out double by Kevin Melillo. However, the lead was brief, as the Mudcats rallied for a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning when Cozart doubled in Heisey and scored on a Frazier single.

Melillo's sacrifice fly in the third tied the game at two before Lorenzo Cain was hit by a pitch to put two runners on base. Drew Anderson then drove Jordan Smith's first pitch over the wall in right field for a three-run clout that gave Huntsville a 5-2 edge. Carolina got a run back off of Stars' starter Bobby Bramhall in the bottom of the inning on a two-out, run-scoring hit by Parker.

Smith, and Mudcats' skipper David Bell, were thrown out of the game after a ball was called on a Hopf check swing on an 0-2 offering during the lead off at-bat in the sixth. The pitcher and manager thought it should have resulted in a strikeout, prompting Bell to engage in a lengthy, animated discussion that led to his ejection. Camilo Vasquez took over and worked out of the inning before running into trouble in the seventh, as he walked the first three hitters of the frame and was removed after falling behind Anderson 2-0. Federico Baez took over and got Anderson to foul out before Chris Errecart singled in a run to extend the Stars' lead to 6-4. Baez escaped further trouble by setting down the next two hitters and then worked a scoreless eighth inning.

Bramhall was removed after five frames, allowing three runs on four hits, while walking three and fanning three and remains winless in three double-A starts. Donovan Hand tossed scoreless relief in the sixth and was lifted with one out and one on in the seventh and followed by Casey Baron, who gave up a two-out double to Frazier that drove in Cozart to cut the lead to 6-4.

The series continues Thursday night with Stars' southpaw David Welch taking the mound against Mudcats' right-hander James Avery. Coverage of the game begins at 6:00 PM central time and can be heard through the internet at www.huntsvillestars.com.

Eight of ten Scarpetta K's were swinging -- just overpowering.

The recap on milb.com said it was a triple.

Either way, good for the T-Rats to finally get a win. It would've been a shame for Watten to lose the game after pitching fairly well.

Scarpetta was just awesome. He and Nieves are my two favorite pitching prospects.

Final: Wisconsin 3, Peoria (Cubs) 2

Wisconsin Site Game Summary:

RATTLERS SNAP LOSING STREAK IN DRAMATIC FASHION

GRAND CHUTE, WI -- Michael Marseco's two-run triple in the bottom of the ninth inning vaulted the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to a 3-2 victory over the Peoria Chiefs Wednesday afternoon on Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. The win ended Wisconsin's six-game losing streak.

The pitchers were in control early. Peoria starter Chris Carpenter retired the first 12 batters he face and allowed one hit over five scoreless innings. Wisconsin starter Cody Scarpetta matched his professional career high for strikeouts with 10.

Peoria (5-5) snapped the scoreless tie with a run in the top of the sixth inning. Tony Campana singled to break Scarpetta's string of 12 consecutive batters retired and lead off the frame. He moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Rebel Ridling's RBI single scored Campana with the first run of the game.

Wisconsin (4-6) came right back in the bottom of the sixth inning. Cutter Dykstra singled and John Delaney walked to start the inning. A grounder moved both runners up a base. Brock Kjeldgaard's sacrifice fly drove Dykstra home with the tying run.

Peoria had runners at second and third in the top of the seventh inning. However, they misfired on a suicide squeeze attempt and were kept off the board in the inning.

But, in the ninth, Peoria took the lead. Kyler Burke started the rally with a double to right. A single by Josh Vitters moved Burke to third. Ryan Flaherty grounded into a 4-6-3 double play, but Burke scored for a 2-1 advantage.

In the bottom of the ninth, Peoria closer Erik Hamren couldn't close out the Rattlers. Shawn Zarraga and Sean McCraw walked to start the inning. Erik Miller was next and he dropped a sacrifice bunt to move the tying and winning runs into scoring position.

The Chiefs decided to replace Hamren with Kevin Kreier on the mound . Marseco didn't let Kreier get comfortable. The Rattler second baseman lined the first pitch he saw in the ninth over the head of Bukre in right field to send the Rattlers to a win.

The Timber Rattlers and Chiefs have a doubleheader on the schedule for Thursday. Wisconsin has Efrain Nieves (1-1, 2.79) and Evan Frederickson (1-0, 4.91) are the scheduled starters for Wisconsin. Peoria will counter with Chris Archer (0-1, 1.13) and Alberto Cabrera (0-1, 6.35). Game one starts at 5:35 PM.

Wisconsin Box Score

The winning hit was a triple, but you'd think it should have been a double because the winning run was on second base to start the at-bat and only needed to advance two bases to score; only three Rattler hits, but six walks is good; Wisconsin was 0-for-5 with RISP before Michael Marseco's game-winner; Cody Scarpetta's great game was commented on earlier -- wow...
