Link Report for Saturday, April 11th -- Timber Rattler Matinee

Mass Haas

I've seen a couple people now mention that they were unimpressed with Dykstra's speed. Gord Ash mention during the game on TV thursday that Cutter has been battling a leg injury, and won't be running all out for awhile. When healthy, we should see Dykstra's impressive acceleration.

Tom Haudricourt adds on to the previous message about Mr. Lawrie's lack of hustle. Hopefully a one-time thing:

When Brett Lawrie failed to run out a ground ball Saturday night, Class A Wisconsin manager Jeff Isom removed the 2008 first-round draft pick from the game in the third inning and had him finish the game as the first-base coach. The Brewers have an organizational rule that if you don't run hard to first, you come out of the game, which manager Ken Macha thought was good policy. "I'll say this about our players here; they all hustle," Macha said. "That's not one of my concerns, not running balls out. That's the way the game should be played."
