wOOgiE22 templates available to members... questions and discussion

1992casey

wOOgiE22 has made graphics and templates available for members to be able to start wOOgiE-style in-game threads. Instructions and an opponent template are posted in the form of replies to the IGT Usability Guide. One or two templates for current or upcoming opponents will be made available at a time.

This thread is now open for questions and discussion about starting in-game threads. There's currently a Chicago Cubs template available in the Usability Guide.

For whoever might start the in-game thread for the home opener against the Cubs, there's been an URL change for tomorrow night's starting pitcher.

Use this one instead of the URL provided in the Usability Guide.

Can you find alternate pictures of the pitchers and just go with those this time around? Otherwise, you could use text instead.

We should probably figure out a place to post the Photoshop template, so the Photoshop-inclined could produce a wOOgie picture when necessary.

I stuck in pictures of today's starting pitchers. If you want to change to something else, I won't be offended. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I figured out the issue with the Media Coverage graphic. You had this URL:

We needed this one:

It looks like wOOgiE's media coverage instructions give examples rather than covering all possible situations.

Thanks, wOOgiE. I inserted the graphic into the thread.

Good thinking on the "opener" search tag, razzzor. I've also applied it to the opener in San Francisco.

I've been using the "regularseason" tag in both Brewer and non-Brewer IGTs. I haven't updated the Usability Guide to reflect that.

We have a lot of flexibility when it comes to creating new search tags--as long as we restrict player tags to Brewer starting pitchers. If we added Brewer position players or opposing players, we'd be over the 100 tag per forum limit in a hurry. A new tag that won't spawn a slew of other similar tags is great, though.

Using FF 3, how do you update the font? The window comes up a tad messed up and there's no OK button to select the font, like there is with the size? Editing the HTML gets way too messy for me personally.

Is your OK button hiding below the bottom of the post editor? If that's the case, you can hit the down arrow (two buttons to the right of spell-check) to enlarge it.

That may have been the case, if I ever attempt it again I'll give that a shot

As part of a board cleanup effort, the IGT FAQ (rules) and Usability Guide have been unstickied. They're still housed in this forum, and they're available above the discussion area. Here's a picture of the links:
