The "Parks And Recreation" Thread

This episode was better than the first in my opinion. "You had me at meat tornado" was golden and Rob Lowe's character looking in the mirror and telling himself to "Stop. Pooping" had me almost falling out of my chair. Really wish I hadn't seen the promo with Andy looking up Leslie's symptoms on the computer because that was classic Andy.

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

Bump.

Good episode, but easily the weakest of the first 3. The town hall meeting fell completely flat.

Andy continues to kill it this season. The faces he made at Eduardo when they were coming up with their vault ideas during the cold open were hilarious.

Also, it's been criminal how little they're utilizing Adam Scott.

This has possibly become my favorite show on TV (other than Curb Your Enthusiasm - when there are new episodes), but I wasn't that thrilled with last night's episode.

Part of the problem with trying to enjoy The Office, P & R or 30 Rock is trying to avoid the promos for them throughout the week and especially on Thursday during the shows themselves. Showing just a 10 second clip of the most hilarious moments of the shows just ruins it for me. I was able to avoid The Office commercials this week by quickly turning the channel so I greatly enjoyed last nights episode. Unfortunately I saw cornrow'd and komono'd Ron on a commercial and it wasn't as funny for me when I saw it in the episode.

I agree. I didn't see any promos, so I was going in on a clean slate. I understand why it's used, but you think they could just paraphrase in lieu of completely ruining the comedic surprise.

I laughed more at the 2 minute intro than the whole episode of "The Office" tonight. Not much else needs to be said, but I continue to love this show.

Absolutely loved this episode. Awesome to see the return of Joan Callamezzo and Perd Hapley ('Ya Heard? With Perd' = classic), and the introduction of Ira & The Douche (Tom: "You embarrassed me in front of the Douche.") Andy "luring" April's sister into the van was great. Pawnee's collective obsession with Alta Vista was hilarious.

Tons of great callbacks ---Joan, Perd, Shauna the reporter and Leslie making her own headlines, Brooks Brothers Boys, "literally"--- this show is just killing it. I can say with conviction that the Office has never reached these heights for this long.

I agree totally. It was just about perfect. So many great moments.

"It's like an X-Box Pancake"

"So not only does this thing exist, but you also deprived us all of cake"

"Ron, take a walk"

Jerry's party shirt

Tom's speech about best man being a "baller position"

Chris creeping out April's goth friend with his positivity

Ron's description of how to create an ex-wife effigy

This episode was certified awesome-sauce

One of my favorite episodes for this series. Ron was gold through the entire episode, the tooth, the cake bit and the wife effigy. Not really a weak scene in this episodes lots of good stuff from everyone.

One of my favorite lines was Tom and Jean talking about the best man speech and he brought up using a Vince Vaughn line and Tom asked "Swingers or Crashers?" Then Jean comes back with "No, Fred Claus." That had me laughing pretty hard.

I loved that for once a TV wedding wasn't overhyped for weeks.
Yes! I've been making it a habit of tuning out the commercials and not reading spoilers, and it took me entirely by surprise. It was fitting for the characters that there had been absolutely no hints that this would happen. Because of course, these two would get married without planning ahead.

I loved the throw-away intro about Ron's tooth. Comedy gold.

yeah, that was great. I also liked how it wasn't actually Ron pulling out his real tooth...whereas if dwight on the office would have down something similar, it def would have.

I'm about two minutes into this weeks office episode and the cold open with carrell and ferrell in the bar is soo predictable and stupid. As much as it pains me to say it, it seems pretty clear that Schur was the talent behind the office. He took the hilariousness right with him to parks and rec.
