ON THE MOUND: Also scheduled to pitch this afternoon (subject to change) is LHP Mitch Stetter, RHP Omar Aguilar, RHP Eduardo Morlan and RHP Nick Green.

MINOR DETAILS: Joining the team this afternoon from minor-league camp is OF Cole Gillespie (#98), INF Adam Heether (#88), RHP Mike Burns (#99), RHP Juan Sandoval (#90) and RHP Chris Smith (#91).

Lineups posted a bit later (please).

Wouldn't mind seeing Nick Green face a starting lineup, he's been the caboose of the pitching matchups all spring, it seems.

Even though it was only a walk, my man love for Lorenzo Cain continues to grow.

The performance of Brad Nelson and Chris Duffy are going to make the final roster spot decision that much tougher. Could we concievably keep both on the 25 man roster? Nelson is just starting to play the OF again, can we trust him enough to be a 4th/5th outfielder?

I think we can carry both with a pitching staff of 12.

Making up the 13 pos. spots.

1. Kendall

2. Rivera

3. Fielder

4. Weeks

5. Hardy

6. Lamb/Hall/McGehee

7. Lamb/Hall/McGehee

8. Counsell

9. Hart

10. Cameron

11. Braun

---------------

12. Duffy - need an OF capable of playing CF

13. Nelson - backup at 1st and corner OF, PHing

I see no reason not too at the moment. He has sure outplayed Nixon.

Oh, I think we can too quite easily. A lot of our relievers are multi inning guys. And Stetter isn't solely tough against lefties. So we're built for a split where we carry more position players than pitchers.
