Team Japan in the NL West

Found an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal analyzing how Team Japan would do if they were in the NL West. They project that they would finish 2nd behind Arizona (the dodgers were taken out of the div) with a record of 84.-78. I think that may sell them a bit short. The pitching would be very solid and the defense would lead the league, or be pretty close. Interesting food for thought.

As long as we are taking out the Dodgers why not take out the D'Backs and Rockies and just crown Japan NL West champions?

 

I wonder how the Brewers would do in the AL East if we put them in there and took out NYY, Boston and TB.

 

The article is interesting, for sure, but their methodology is suspect.
