Pecota Projections question

Patrick425
I'm thinking about subscribing to baseball prospectus in order to get the Pecota projections. However, in looking at the site. It appears you can get "cards" for individual players, teams, and by positions. I'm assuming others here subscribe to this site. As a subscriber, is there an easy way to download all players from one league (i.e. National League) to an excel spreadsheet? Also, I would prefer to focus on players who have a chance to play this year and not, for example, a 19 year old A ball player who won't get ML ab's until 2010 or 2011.

I was a subscriber last year, and didn't renew this year.

I can't really answer your question about downloading, but I'm 90 percent sure the answer is "no". I don't think you can download from the site. A "card" is basically a webpage with that guy's stats and projections. Nothing more.

I thought when I subscribed that it would also contain the verbal analysis about each player (like in the annual book). But it didn't--and it seems as though the Pecota forecast is so broad that it wasn't really that useful for me to use.

For a stat file of projections, I use Cory Schwartz's from MLB.com's Fantasy 411.

He last updated on March 4. . .

Thanks for the info Jim. Actually, I was thinking about subscribing to Pecota because I could not find the projections on fantasy 411. In fact I even emailed them to ask them if they were doing the projections this year. Thanks to your post, I see that I overlooked them and it was posted on March 4th. I'll probably just use that again this year.
