Asteroid Near Miss

Kind of reminds us of our place in our universe. I don't know whats scarier...that an asteroid came this close to hitting earth and we only had three days notice, or that an asteroid smaller than a football field can cause a blast the same magnitude of a nuclear weapon.

I read the article. That's pretty amazing that nobody knew about this until last Friday but at the same time, it's not that surprising since the sky is so darn big! I don't believe they stated in the article but I wonder if anybody did any "projections" of where it might have hit if it had came close enough to be sucked in all the way by Earth's gravitational field.
