Is Mike Lamb's contract guaranteed on the Brewer's end?

endaround
Since Lamb is mostly getting paid by the Twins this year can the Brewers basically cut him at anytime without any financial hit? I understand the Brewers pay the minimum while he's with the team but if he is released do the Brewers still owe any money? Anyone know?

Didnt Lamb clear waivers before the Brewers signed him last year meaning that the Twins were on the hook for his contract regardless of what the Brewers do? I think Lamb is kind of double dipping at this point, collecting from the Twins contract as well as what the Brewers signed him for this offseason.

Don't the Twins pay his original contract, just minus the minimum that the Crew is paying? If that is the way it works, it doesn't look like he's double dipping.

Yes, you're right. The Twins pay his original contract minus whatever the team that signs him afterwards pays him. So, when the Brewers picked him up last year, they only signed him again through the end of last season, which is why they had to resign him again. (Wow... how did I end up over 300 posts?! I hardly ever post!)
