Word is that it's a one-year deal worth $1 million guaranteed, and $3.5 million worth of incentives. It'll be interesting to see if he can still pitch after having surgery for a torn flexor tendon late last year, but it looks like the Braves are going to give him all the time off this Spring he needs to be ready for the start of the season. Even if he can't pitch very well anymore, at least he's likely going to retire as a Brave.

I think it's also a very smart attempt by Atlanta to get somebody that can perhaps help them out. And if he doesn't pitch at all this year, I like how you think--he can retire as a Brave.
