Any magazine collectors out there?

Was cleaning out a bunch of my uncles crap, and we found a bunch of Playboy's from the 60's and 70's and 80's. Does anyone know where I could check to see if these are worth anything? Are there such things as shop's that would buy stuff like this? Any input that you would have would be greatly appreciated.

When I was a kid, I bought a 40 year run of National Geographic's from a neighbor for $5. Needless to say, I never looked at any of them. A waste of $5. I did use a couple for school projects though.

he says the Marilyn Monroe, Vanessa Williams, and Drew Barrymore issues are most in demand.

 

going rate per issue for stuff from the 80s and more recently (except the Williams and Barrymore issues) seems to be about 30-50¢. Not sure about older stuff per issue. Complete runs seem to be worth more than the individual issues would be.

 

I think buying used porn is a bit gross, but apparently there is a bit of a market for it.

I was actually thinking of ebay, just trying to get an acurate gauge on what they're worth.

A buddy of mine made a road trip to help a guy haul home a load of Playboy magazines that he bought via an ad in a newspaper. His friend was deep into collecting them, he had a few issues that he had sent to Hef for autographs. The trunk filled up fast so they ended up stacking them in the back seat. They lived in a small town and when they made the return trip with their booty, their boss at the bank saw them drive by waving with beers in hand and the load of porno in the back seat.
