Hank Blalock and Rich Hill

Hank Blalock is supposedly out of favor in Texas with Michael Young moving to third base. Would he be a possibilty for a trade. It would add a left-handed bat to our lineup. Injuries have hurt him in the past though.

 

Rich Hill is in the same situation after have a abysmal 08 season, spending most of his time in the minors. This could be a low-cost option for some pitching that could be a low-risk, high-reward possibility. Two years ago he had a great season. Would be worth a waiver I believe.

Blalock was never going to play 3B this year for Texas. He is playing 1B.

Rich Hill suffers from "Steve Blass" disorder. He can't throw strikes any more. No need to trade for him, he'll likely end up being on waivers.

 

Blalock's road splits are rather ugly.
