US Airways plane felled by birds, crashes into Hudson River

More than 200 people have been killed worldwide as a result of wildlife strikes with aircraft since 1988, according to Bird Strike Committee USA, and more than 5,000 bird strikes were reported by the U.S. Air Force in 2007.
Seriously? There's a bird strike committee?

Just read that the pilot is from Oregon, WI.

I think it was actually the co-pilot that was from WI.

Yeah, you're right. I was reading some local coverage and they made it sound like he was the main pilot.

"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."
