I feel old

Happy Birthday!

By the way, I think you can gamble if you go to a casino that doesn't serve alcohol. Don't you wish you had that little piece of information two years ago? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Me and a bunch of my buddies are planning to go to the UP as soon as we all turn 18 this summer. Could have thought of that as well.

UP of Michigan? Don't go, that place sucks. Iron Mountain is a hole, Kingsford sucks, Escanaba sucks, everything about it sucks.

As for Adam, you are old. I turned 21 in July. It's not as great as you might think. Sure, you can legally buy alcohol, but when you have older siblings like I do, it's easy to get booze. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

A wise man said, "If you want to stay young, you must play. And if want to play, you must stay young."

This applies VERY well in my life. It's no wonder my wife says I'm a 7-year old trapped in an adult's body.

Nothing makes me feel quite as old as going to the mall and seeing these prepubescent girls dressing like the women I see at the meat markets (bars) on the weekend. AND I'M 27...with no kids...and all I can think is "Where were their parents when they left the house this morning?"

It's not being able to go out with your 21+ year old friends that sucks. I'm not 21 for a few more months and all of my roommates plus a lot of other friends from school are already 21 so it can get boring at time when everyone else goes out to bars.

I was in the same position as you last year at UWM, Glennron.

I turned 21 in June, and the novelty of going to bars wore off by July. I just don't think I'll ever have as much fun drinking as I did when I was in high school or as a freshman in the dorms.

I actually enjoyed going to the Michigan Indian Casinos before I was 21. It was usually pretty easy to win money and the crowd those places draw is always good for a laugh.

The feeling old benchmark for me was when my favorite baseball players I looked up to were the same age and younger than I was.

Yeah, I'm just barely over the threshold of having any right to feel old, and that was pretty much it for me: the day I realized I went from seeing these guys as what I wanted to be when I grow up to referring to them as "kids". Also, working with a family with 3 kids and both parents are younger than me.

That's why you have parties where you don't have to show an I.D. to get alcohol. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Turn 30 in a month, and most friends are younger than me by a 3 maybe 4 years so they tease me. It's all in fun, but how can I have a comeback? "Yeah, but I'm wiser" Then they'd just crack on me more, and I don't blame em!

For the record I don't feel old. I've heard 30 is the new 20. Does that make 20 the new 10? Or is 20 still 20?

When I turned 40, one of my students said not to worry, that 40 was the new 20. She had just turned 20. It made me wonder whether 20 was the new infancy or something.
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

The legal drinking age is 21 in the U.P. If you are going to go to the UP, you might as well keep driving to Sault St. Marie. Is the drinking age 18 or 19 in Canada?
