Yes, but you did have to wait until their teams were out of the pennant chase. I don't think you can assume you can make anything like a fair trade if we lose a starter before June. We would have to pay a steep price. That is why I assume Melvin will make some low-impact trades to bolster the AAA pitching with some guy(s) that should they have to be called up would put together something close to replacement level pitching for a month or two.

I guess I wouldn't mind Looper at this point. Rotation would probably be then Gallardo, Parra, Bush, Looper, Suppan. But I'm still holding out hope for Sheets, Garland or a long shot of Derek Lowe.
