Kevin Youkilis?

I know this will probably be billed as a stupid idea, but IF we trade away Prince Fielder for starting pitching, and the organization isn't comfortable with Gamel or Nelson at first base, what would it take to get Kevin Youkilis? Since its been reported that the Red Sox are going after Mark Teixeira, the thinking is that Youkilis would be available via trade. Any thoughts?

Youk's price tag would be pretty high, I assume. A healthy Lowell would be tempting, but I think he has 3 years left on his deal. And if that is the case, he probably doesn't match up well with the Brewers plans at third.

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

There is only one player on the Brewer roster that could net us Kevin Youkilis (the true 2009 AL MVP). And that player isnt going anywhere for another 6 years. And they dont have a prospect package to net him either. Another idea could be to send Fielder there to be their DH, but then they have the trouble of unloading an expensive Big Papi, and we still have to throw in something very good to even it out for the Red Sox. Imo, a Fielder deal to the Red Sox died when they traded away Coco Crisp and left Jacoby Ellsbury at their only CF option. Lets not forget that even with a Teixiera signing by the Sox, they have one of the top hitting prospects in baseball ready to step in at 1B for them in Lars Anderson.
