Yankees interested in Hall

I assume the Yanks are close to sending Cano to the Dodgers, and Hall would be there 2B. I've always thought that a team with a middle infield need would take a chance on Hall.

I find it interesting that the Hall rumor starts after CC meets with Yankees. Cashman probably asked if there were any players in addition to Cameron who would make becoming a Yankee easier.

Glad to hear the Brewers look like they'll bring back Lamb. Even if Gamel eventually takes over at 3rd, Lamb is great in the role of lefty PH. If Hall is traded, it could open up a roster spot for Casey McGehee who's having a nice winter ball season.

There was talk about the Yanks signing Punto for a utility role. Hall is basically a super utility player so it seems he would be ideal for the Yanks. Packaging Hall & Cam to the Yanks sure would free up a lot pf payroll for other transactions although the trade would create more holes to fill

I'm not sure about that. Aren't the Dodgers very close to signing Blake, allowing them to play Dewitt at 2nd?

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

How about Cameron and Hall for Johnny Damon? Damon's got one year left at $13 million and a partial no-trade so whether it would be possible, I don't know but he'd be the guy I'd like on their roster.
You realize that the reason that the Yankees are interested in Cameron is because Johnny Damon can't really play center field anymore, right?

I'd like the guy on my team sure, but he is really only a left fielder at this point in his career. Personally I would like to get younger talent to build around in return for Cameron. I would also like to free up money so it can be spent in other more pressing areas. That is just one fan's preferences though.

Is CC good friends with Suppan?
Ha... maybe we should add an incentive into CC's contract, that if he can talk the Yankees into taking Suppan he can earn an extra 8 mil per season over the next 2.

CC: Yeah... Suppan is my best bud! If you trade for him, I would be glad to play in New York.

Cashman: Really? I'll get right on that. I'll call you back after the deal is done.

CC: Hello?

Cashman: Well... we just acquired Jeff Suppan for you. The deal is done, and your contract is ready to sign.

CC: I just got word the Brewers upped their offer by $16 million, so I think I'm going to take their offer. Sorry...

Cashman: But you said...

Unless we are getting a 3B back in return or plan on signing one, I wouldn't want to trade Hall. His contract sucks, but he is an excellent right hand half of a platoon and a good defender(I still don't like Bill Hill).

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.
